Owner Mete Mutlu has been working with hand-made carpets and kilims since 1989.  He began in Istanbul (Mecca for rugs) and moved to Chicago in 1994.  He has many contacts in Turkey and Central Asia,  allowing him to build a large and unique rug collection.  Mete personally travels and handpicks every item in our inventory.  All of our rugs are original, one-of-a-kind antique or semi-antique pieces.  We carry a few new rugs, but nothing programmed.

We have rugs from the Balkans, Turkey, Persia, Caucasus and Central Asia.

We also offer expert cleaning and restoration services, appraisal services and custom rug production.
