Yoruk Rug Gallery offers a unique selection of one-of-a kind Tribal & Oriental Rugs, Kilims and Textiles.  Owner Mete Mutlu has been working in the industry since 1989 starting in Sultanahmet, Istanbul - one of the largest rug markets in the world.  Old rug dealers say, "Once you get the rug dust in your lungs, you are hooked".  Mete's passion and knowledge are evident in the collection of pieces in our showroom and the relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere he has created in our gallery.   He travels to Turkey several times a year and personally selects each item in our inventory from the source.

Mete truly loves and respects the art and beauty of handmade rugs.  He would spend many hours, and many cups of tea, discussing the various aspects of rugs, the people that make them,  and their history and traditions.

We are a small, family-owned and operated business.  Allison Mutlu, Mete’s wife, manages the less interesting, but necessary practical sides of the business.  Enver, Peri and Eren Mutlu are our apprentices, already showing signs of their father’s gift!
